Cologne One is Escentric Molecules' reinterpretation of an Eau de Cologne: a 15% concentration for long-lasting freshness. It is sophisticated and gender-neutral. A modern, minimalist, infinitely fresh ode to the idea of a gin and tonic. Fresh, citrusy, spicy!
"We have a completely different approach to fragrance, so our first Eau de Cologne captures the unique and wonderful freshness of a gin and tonic. I think this kind of freshness is quite new. It's the idea of a zesty, effervescent gin and tonic scent, as if you were dipping your nose straight into the drink," says perfumer Geza Schoen.
The fragrance thrives on its top notes: juniper for the gin, lime and citrus fruits for lightness, a hint of bergamot and mandarin, a touch of ginger for a delicate spiciness, and a hint of the neutrality of cucumber to emphasise the freshness without becoming too literal. It is concentrated freshness, transparent and immediate.
The heart note remains understated: iris, rose and hadione provide just enough structure to support the top note, allowing the bright citrus fruits and juniper to linger.
The base note is linear, calm and unobtrusive: ambroxan, Iso E Super and a hint of musk. Nothing competes, nothing distracts.
