An area full of sailors, poor immigrants, drunkards and prostitutes, in the second half of the 19th century, this was the heart of the Bowery Street, a famous New York City street known as "The Bowery" near the harbor from Manhattan. If the Bowery is a completely new developed district today, then this reawakening since the 1960s is due to a very progressive art and music scene. Here punk icons like Patti Smith, Blondie and The Ramones made their breakthrough. The aim of the BOWERY NYC is to reflect the style that has been created in this neighborhood - starting with a collection of vintage t-shirts and sweatshirts. The graphics were inspired by objects, shop signs and symbols that helped make the area the birthplace of a new, distinctive style.
